As long as you are not displaying any Covid-19 symptoms such as a temperature or a new and continuous cough you can view a property and allow viewings in your home. You will not be required to wear a face covering. Viewing time inside the property will be kept to a reasonable minimum and any questions arising will be answered outside of the property or over the telephone.

Prior to any viewing, the prospective buyer and seller will be asked to confirm that they have not presented any of the symptoms associated with Covid-19 in the previous 7 days. No viewing will go ahead if either party has shown symptoms or has been self-isolating. We will talk through all these measures with you once a viewing is confirmed.

Shared Ownership gives first time buyers and those that do not currently own a home the opportunity to purchase a share in a new build or resales property. The purchaser pays a mortgage on the share they own, and pays rent to a housing association on the remaining share. Because the purchaser only needs a mortgage for the share they are purchasing, the amount of money required for a deposit is a lot lower when compared to the amount that would be required when purchasing outright.

The purchaser has the option to increase his share during their time in the property via a process known as ‘staircasing’, and in most cases can staircase all the way to 100%, thereby owning the property outright.
